Our current fees for children under three (before they qualify for funding) are £8.50 per session. We also charge a £10.00 joining fee. This is a one off payment which covers all administration costs relating to children starting at Pre-School. This fee is payable prior to commencement at Pre-School and an invoice is sent out with the New Starter Pack shortly before children attend an induction. Children aged 3 years or more are eligible for government funding up to a maximum of 5 sessions per week from the term after their 3rd birthday.
Olney Pre-School is approved to accept grant funding for children once they turn three years old. This means that your child can attend up to five funded sessions a week from the term after their third birthday. All the children work towards the early learning goals (The Foundation Stage) through play and activities, with extra challenges for the four plus children.
Children will need to be suitably dressed for Pre-School. They will be involved in messy play and physical play and may need to go to the toilet in a hurry - so please send them in old clothes that they can manage for themselves. (avoid garments like dungarees if possible) In addition, the children will be required to wear plimsoles. Trainers are not acceptable in the interests of health safety and small fingers! All items of clothing such as coats, hats, bags and shoes would, ideally, need to be labelled with the children’s name. On hot, sunny days when the children will be in the garden area, they will need a sun hat and sun cream applied before Pre-School. On wet days, named wellington boots to change into would be an advantage. 'Legionnaire' style sun hats and additional T-shirts and sweatshirts with the Pre-School logo are available for purchase.
