We offer a lunch club each day for children attending both the morning and afternoon sessions and these are open to 3 and 4 year old children, with priority given to those children due to start ‘big’ school the following September. The lunch club runs from the end of the morning session (11.30am) until the start of the afternoon session (12.30pm) and is supervised by pre-school staff, who eat with the children. Snack and meal-times are an important part of children’s days, presenting opportunities to learn about healthy eating and to practise and develop social skills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When your child starts having lunch at pre-school, we send out a lunch club information letter and on this page we’ve tried to add some useful information on general nutrition for toddlers including recommended portion sizes, lunch box suggestions and also how to prepare certain foods to minimise choking risks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
